The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services towards the community.

SASSA are going to be rendering companies like new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency explained it is actually alarmed regarding the superior number of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The goal of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a significant range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is sassa mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional office focused on service the area daily. The support position established for intervention ordeals a superior inflow of opportunity beneficiaries, that makes it complicated with the Workplace to attend to all people who visit a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more resources to help the servicing of all customers and increase usage of Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
